The principal aim of the SECC is to strengthen and sustain North Carolina communities and their citizens. This year, the campaign includes more than 850 federations and independent charities focused on sustaining local, national and international health, educational, environmental and social service organizations.
Giving is a personal decision, and it begins with thinking about a cause you really believe in and want to be a part of. Is it one of the national nonprofits such as K9s for Warriors or Make-a-Wish Foundation? Perhaps you want to ensure the ongoing efforts of Cabarrus Meals on Wheels, the Humane Society of Union County, or Communities in Schools or the Ronald McDonald House here in Mecklenburg County.
The SECC is a direct way to help those in need. From the current pandemic to economic uncertainty and racial discourse, we all have struggles in life, and when possible, it is imperative that we help one another.
All state employees who make a donation to the SECC will be eligible for a Nov. 19 drawing to receive a $50 grocery gift card. The SECC will hold an additional raffle for UNC Charlotte employees and six lucky winners will receive a gift valued at $25. As a special bonus, all University employees who make a contribution to an SECC organization will be eligible for one of 10 gift cards, courtesy of the Giving Green Campaign.
Support Giving Green today with your gift or pledge to an SECC organization. Together, our donations are making a powerful and positive impact across our communities and state.
